We are a non-profit agency located in the historic Scott’s Run community just outside of Morgantown, WV. We pride ourselves in being responsive to the needs of the community – a goal our diverse programs reflect. From playgroup and swimming lessons, to after school tutoring and prenatal yoga, we strive to provide a safe place for local families and kids to learn, have fun and be healthy. All of our programs are either free or on a sliding scale based on one’s income.

MISSION: The Shack Neighborhood House provides an inclusive, safe, and fun environment for learning and recreation. Programs strengthen families by nurturing children, youth and community members of all ages in Monongalia county and the surrounding areas.

VISION: To remain the primary community, family, and youth center in the area. We will continue to create new, and improve existing programs, which promote cultural enrichment, healthy living, intellectual & spiritual growth, and personal development.
